Overview of the Role

Our Client is seeking an individual experienced in designing and developing electrical distribution systems for advanced vehicle technologies. Your responsibilities will include wiring harness layouts, component selection, and technical documentation. Collaborating with teams for seamless integration and work with suppliers to source components. Conducting tests for safety, reliability, and compliance, and troubleshoot issues. Innovating to improve efficiency, reduce weight, and optimize costs, supporting sustainable mobility solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Comply with project cost, weight, quality, and timing targets
• Create, comply, and enhance DFMA and all robustness disciplines
• Lead the CAD team to achieve the routing, retention, and packaging requirements
• BOM consistency between CAD, Windchill and PREEvision
• Plan and execute the DVP as well as implement the design improvements
• Solve issues including cross-functional interfaces
• Measure the design maturity and report risks in a meaningful timing
• Plan and execute prototyping support and reworking

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of wire harness and EDS
• 3D CAD knowledge
• Understanding of automotive E/E Systems
• English proficiency required
• German proficiency preferred
