Final Assembly Manager
Job description
Our Client is a major global manufacturing and technology supplier, partnered with leading automotive OEMs.
As a Final Assembly Engineering Manager, you will lead and coordinate all engineering activities within final assembly operations, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, successful product launches, and continuous improvement across systems, equipment, and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage final assembly engineering operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes
- Plan, direct, and coordinate engineering activities including new product introduction, process development, maintenance, and testing equipment
- Ensure products are built according to customer specifications and quality standards
- Take full responsibility for resource management, including personnel, machinery, and technology allocation
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation through advanced manufacturing technologies and process optimization
- Develop and mentor engineers and technicians across manufacturing, automation, testing, and maintenance
- Support production to achieve performance, quality, cost, and capacity targets
- Ensure equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance and repair strategies
- Oversee talent selection, training, and competency development within the engineering team
- Maintain and update process documentation (FMEA, flowcharts, capability studies, validation, parameter sheets)
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
- Monitor and improve key KPIs including OEE, scrap rate, MTTR, MTBF, on-time delivery, and plant profitability
- Coordinate cross-functional communication with plant management, production, and customers
- Lead change management initiatives and respond to production or equipment-related issues
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes such as dispensing and screwing, and ensure best practices in equipment maintenance and reliability
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, or a related engineering field (Master’s preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar engineering leadership role within manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and test equipment
- Experience with process engineering documentation and core tools (FMEA, validation, flowcharts, etc.)
- Understanding of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate in a results-driven, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with production planning and resource optimization
- Cultural awareness and ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
- Professional working proficiency in English
