Key Account Manager
Job description
Our Client is a major global technology supplier, partnered with leading automotive OEMs, delivering advanced solutions within the electric vehicle and battery technology space.
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key OEM customer accounts, driving sales growth, and leading commercial activities across the full business lifecycle. You will act as the primary interface between the customer and internal teams, ensuring strong relationships, successful negotiations, and achievement of revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day OEM customer accounts, acting as the primary commercial point of contact
- Drive sales and business development activities to achieve order intake and revenue targets
- Develop and execute account strategies to increase market penetration, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Lead the development of winning sales strategies, based on customer needs, competitive landscape, and value proposition
- Coordinate internally to prepare and deliver competitive proposals and quotations
- Lead and support commercial negotiations and contract agreements with customers
- Maintain accurate data in CRM and pipeline management tools to support forecasting and planning
- Conduct sales forecasting and contribute to budgeting and long-term strategic planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive-level contacts
- Identify new business opportunities, products, and services aligned with market and customer needs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues related to delivery, performance, and commercial matters
- Monitor and manage account receivables and delivery performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development within automotive or EV-related sectors
- Strong understanding of automotive industry practices, commercial processes, and customer decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at multiple organizational levels
- Experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in commercial agreements within automotive environments
- Proficiency with CRM and pipeline management tools, as well as MS Office
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the relevant region
