As a Systems Architect, you will take technical ownership of advanced amplifiers and sound systems for automotive applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and validate complex audio system architectures from concept through to series production.
Key Responsibilities
- Take technical responsibility for advanced automotive amplifiers and audio systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, acoustics, testing) to define system architectures and project goals
- Elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional system requirements
- Contribute to the development of system design documentation, including block diagrams and interface specifications
- Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify risks and define mitigation strategies
- Propose and implement design and requirement improvements based on FMEA findings and validation results
- Define and support test strategies and validation plans to ensure full system coverage
- Provide technical leadership throughout the full product lifecycle (concept to SOP)
- Analyze and troubleshoot system-level issues related to audio performance, power management, and communication
- Support system integration activities and validation efforts
- Interface with customers and suppliers to ensure technical alignment
- Define and manage system performance targets, including CPU load and memory usage
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, ideally within automotive or embedded systems
- Proven experience delivering system architecture in at least one full lifecycle embedded project (concept to SOP)
- Strong expertise in requirements engineering (functional and non-functional)
- Solid understanding of system architecture principles and design documentation
- Proficiency with SysML/UML tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Catia Magic)
- Hands-on experience performing FMEA on complex systems
- Ability to derive comprehensive test cases and validation strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Knowledge of functional safety and SOTIF
Additional Skills & Experience
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and structured approach to engineering and documentation
Nice to Have (Audio Systems Expertise)
