Exciting news from Munro Vehicles as they mark a significant milestone in the world of electric vehicles!

The first pre-production model of the Series-M Utility, an all-electric 4×4, has rolled off the production line, just ten months after the initial prototype was unveiled.

Featuring two different powertrains – the M170 with 170 kW and the M280 with 280 kW – this remarkable vehicle boasts a maximum range of approximately 200 miles or 322 kilometers.

While the specific battery capacity of the pre-production model isn’t disclosed, it’s stated to be a “more durable, longer-lasting LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery,” which enables rapid charging at up to 130 kW.

Munro Vehicles’ co-founder, Russell Peterson, emphasized their commitment to customer satisfaction by incorporating “numerous improvements” based on valuable feedback, including an adjustable steering column, steering wheel controls, and a comprehensive suite of safety equipment.

This achievement is not just a win for Munro Vehicles but also for Scotland, as the Series-M Utility marks the first light vehicle to enter mass production since the closure of the Linwood car factory in 1981.

Looking ahead, Munro Vehicles has ambitious plans to scale up production, with a goal to produce 200 units annually in the next twelve months and an ultimate target of manufacturing up to 2,500 units by 2027.

Remarkably, the company has already received “more than 250 pre-orders for both the Utility and Truck models,” indicating strong demand and a promising future in the electric vehicle industry!
