Position Overview

Lead the design and launch of exterior trim components for a global EV OEM, covering fascias, lighting, and mouldings. This is a hands-on Catia V5 role working with global teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop exterior trim systems (fascias, lighting, mouldings, glass) from concept to launch.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  • Manage BOMs, release designs in Team Center, and ensure design robustness and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with global suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet cost, quality, and performance targets.
  • Support DFMEA, DVPR, and cost reduction initiatives across the product lifecycle.

 

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • 5–12+ years of experience in exterior design engineering within the automotive sector.
  • Proficient in Catia V5 for both 3D modelling and drawing creation.
  • Experience using Team Center for design release and change management.
  • University Engineering Degree (BS preferred).
  • Knowledge of DFMEA and global automotive design standards.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with Indian automotive regulations and international project collaboration.
