Porsche Macan to be Porches first electrical crossover
Full steam ahead for Porsche en route to a greener future with the arrival of its first electric crossover, a battery-powered Macan EV with more than 600hp. Porsche say this will be the “Sportiest model in its segment”.
Following the Taycan, the Macan EV’s success is critical for Porsche’s goal of generating more than 80% of new vehicle sales globally from EV’s by 2030, considering the the combustion engine variant is Porsche’s best selling U.S. model this seems a great move.
Member of the executive board and production boss Albrecht Reimold said “We produce more than 80,000 units per year of the current generation. In the long term, we also plan to produce the all-electric Macan on this scale.”
