Overview of the Role

We are supporting our Client in finding a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data platforms. This role focuses on leveraging advanced data frameworks and cloud-native architectures to build efficient infrastructure for data-driven insights. You will lead efforts to enhance data processing, drive innovation, and deliver solutions that support large-scale data needs using the latest technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-performance data platforms using modern technologies.
• Optimise pipelines, resolve performance issues, and ensure platform reliability.
• Integrate data sources, maintain quality, and enforce governance standards.
• Lead teams, mentor engineers, and develop impactful data solutions.
• Drive innovation by adopting advancements in data engineering and analytics.

Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years experience building and scaling modern data platforms with large data and cloud technologies.
• Expertise in designing large-scale data pipelines, distributed systems, and ETL processes.
• Proficient in Go, Java, or Scala, with experience in SQL/NoSQL databases and data lakes.
• Skilled in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of mentoring teams and delivering solutions.
