Our client, A global leader in Over the Air upgrade and remote diagnostic solutions for the Automotive industry is looking for a Field Engineer to assist their growth in Japanese markets and together with their management in headquarters, product marketing and R&D to build market relevant product demos and support customer implementations.

Responsibilities:

• Support our growth goals in the Japan market throughout all technical aspects of the sales and product cycle
• Passionately present and demonstrate unique patented OTA cloud solution centre and AI driven video telematics technology to potential clients
• Act as communication interface with customers and partners
• Present our products to potential clients by demoing our solution scope like the Cloud OTA Operations Centre, Diagnostic Cloud and Video Telematics solutions
• Organize and align internal technical teams to provide the best solution for customers
• Assist client engineers to understand how to use the company’s products, including installation settings and debugging tasks
• Work together with Sales and Account Managers to develop the business in the Japan market
• Work with our customers in identifying the best products and solutions for their use-case and enable them to resolve challenges
• Assist customers to perform relevant integration testing and verification work preparing the “go-live” and support to resolve issues before and after “going-live”
• Establish a trustful relationship with customers to help build a basis for long-term business success.
• Work with the team to ensure the highest customer satisfaction Having a friendly patience personality to communicate smoothly with customers
• Enjoy working in an agile environment to effectively build business in Japan

Qualifications:

• Good understanding of information system architecture and ambition to solve/answer questions from customers
• Good understanding of Linux OS
• Good understanding of Client/Server architecture and communication protocol such as TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT
• Good understanding of cloud server technology and how API server works
• Having experience with C/C++ programming in embedded Linux systems or MCU systems
• Familiar with the Git version control tool
• Familiar with building test tools
• Good understanding of networking inside the automotive industry
• Good understanding of the internet of vehicles
• Good understanding in node.js, MongoDB
• Experience with Android App development
• Working in a global environment you should support the diversity of our company and our global customers

• Customer oriented mindset
• A professional attitude to win and to work through technical problems to present a compelling customer solution
• Technical background, including knowledge of one or more areas such as Over-The-Air updates, Video Telematics, Automotive Remote Diagnostics, AUTOSAR, Automotive Chipsets, Cloud Architectures, Operating Systems like Linux, Android – basic programming skills are a bonus
• Minimum two 2 years of work experience in the automotive or related industry
• Bachelor or master’s degree in electronics, information technology, computer science or comparable
• Very good Japanese skills are required. English and Chinese skills are a strong plus
• Structured, problem solving, self-organized, willingness to travel >= 30%
